  1. Guess these figures settle the old debate eh [emoji23]
  2. Whatttt you can still get loads from Mr.T I need a new rear side window. I'll See what they have for the gen 5.
  3. Generally Lewis it is how you drive your car, if your in lift a lot then go for 5w40, if your a more casual driver which I think you are then go for 5w30 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Happy 2 Anniversary JonSam50!

  5. Ahhhh torque doesn't mean squat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah I get where you are coming from, if what iv seen on the car didn't match up with anything I'd be more dubious but everything is as expected so far :-) I have certificates for all but last year and services for every year. Interesting also as he gave me a print off of a check he had done too and that showed last years MOT expiry on it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Paul go have a look in the gen 5 forum, a question yourself will most likely answer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Aha yeah I realised that ;-) Yeah I'm really impressed everything lines up great, copious receipts most genuine Toyota. Latest one for the service in April this year. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. No this wasn't the one in Perth, this wasn't up for long before I grabbed it. Went up last Tuesday I believe and I had it on Sunday Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for all the well wishes peeps [emoji38] just sitting down and going through all the receipts and papers with it now I think something is not right with the site you used or the tests of previous owners weren't put on the system or something. I have not last years but year before's test which had 3 advisories and the owner I purchased off of was very sound and said the work was done which I can verify as iv been under it and seen the new brake lines, the Exhaust fix was crap. I don't have last years as he didn't know what he done with it, but iv already just put it through MOT and everything lines up so I'm happy :-) only recurring advisory being exhaust. 10. Woooo! Completely stock. 112k miles. Full service history even comes with receipt from when the first owner bought it in 1992! Few niggles to sort out but where the fun in a niggle free car I ask you?!? Got the rest of the week off so bonding time and cleaning time. There is a thread in the gen 5 section where someone took everything apart and cleaned it as it has over 20 years of grime....will do similar. Yay! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks guys! I looked mainly at the exhaust manifold and the cut outs were there and the different shape. On the intake manifold on the first and fourth the blanked water injection nubs were there. I didn't buy it, was quite a tired car. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Hi all, was looking at a gen 5 Carlos Sainz but they are hard to get without waiting. A nice st205 WRC has come up though and it's on my doorstep in car buying terms so i will be viewing it. Apart from the exhaust manifold cover and all the other stuff I can't see on a viewing, is there a plaque or anything to prove the WRCness of the car? The exhaust manifold checks out and looked at a list of other mods that were done but none seem overly accessible just on a viewing Thanks :-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk And what about sunroof's and WRC's? Is that common or uncommon? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. 18" sounds like it could be right. Super cars aren't very big that's for sure. Such nice wheels! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Happy 1 Anniversary JonSam50!

  15. 24, and plumber and I just love cars. Had a couple German whips (gold vr6 was fun) and my car before the celica was a Peugeot...ugh....but it was the 406 V6, I liked them for the looks and the engine was great, just the electrics were terrible and I didn't understand why such a big car was fwd. Got the celica and never looked back its head and shoulders above them all.
  16. Cool cheers G. Does that go for laqueur too then?
  17. Hey I'm looking to paint a rocker cover I have. Do I need to use high temp paint or would normal spray can paint be alright? It probably get to what about 80-90degrees? It will be cleaned and etch primer'd prior Cheers
