  4. Ive got a document from the dvla i believe stating that my uk car has had its plates changed to import. ill try and dig it out as i cant quite remember what type of document it is. I looked at it when i bought the car but havent checked it since, but my car has passes two mot's with import plates. Standard uk lettering i think.
  5. I love my car! Its the first one that ive had that i have loved everything about (exept for the engine, i need more power!), the styling inside and out, the way it corners and the way it always seems to make me grin from ear to ear no matter what mood im in I love backing off the throttle after giving it some beans in second gear and hearing the burble which always tends to turn a few heads, most people tho probably think im an idiot though because i play drum and bass with my windows open and always make loads of noise accelerating and burbling everywhere The feel good factor of this car makes me forgive it for splashing me in the face everytime i forget to shut the window before washing the screen

  7. Go over there while it is still light and take a few photos of the car as proof and tell whoever is at the house or leave a note if there is no one there saying that using the old photos was a misrepresentation of the vehicle and you no longer want it. Due to their misrepresentation of the vehicle you will be informing ebay and you cannot be marked down for not buying it or timewasting. I wouldnt buy the car because A) he has deliberately tried to rip someone off and doesnt deserve the sale no mattter how cheap he offers it and B ) you can no longer trust him and you dont know what else is wrong with the car.
  8. I do have to admit that ive driven both the original shape MX5 and the newer shape and they are both a banging drive! Well balanced and just the right amount of grip to really push it without stepping the rear out too much without meaning to. However i would take the Celica over a MX5 any day. More room is the clincher for me, and the fact it is front wheel drive and i can throw it into corners most rear wheel drive cars back out of is also a bonus.
  9. Ah dude, I can feel your pain! Ive got an SR which is seriously underpowered so i am saving up for a new Celica, im undecided as of yet what type, GT, SS2 or 3, Beams etc, but am not looking forward to selling the car i have as it has provided sooo much fun and instigated my love of Celicas! This car has seen off all corsa's, a BMW, a Merc and a really old dude trying it on in a DB9 on my Welsh mountain road  (he left me on the straights but didnt couldnt read the road and didnt pay attention to corners we could see but hadnt reached.) Even losing to a Focus ST was fun. I will sell it but i wont look forward to it
  10. Lol i never thought it would waste this much so quickly though! But as Thermo says my boot wont rust for a while  Cheers for all the advice guys, I have the boot mat drying in the wood shed at the moment. The carpet side has come up very nicely and is dry, however a big area on a corner on the fluffy stuff on the rear of the carpet is still very oily to touch. Thankfully it is just a corner and not the whole of the back part. I will leave it until tomorrow and see whats what then. I do like the swarfega idea, i had forgot about that stuff. I'm also considering taking it to a jet wash, ill have to put it in a bin bag to bring home again, hopefully it wont leak water all over the place though. Vibe sub arriving tomorrow hopefully! Gutted about our weather forecast though, gale force winds and torrential rain so prob wont be able to fit it
  11. Hi all, I have been really busy the last couple of months with a job change and my first nephew so have only really poked my nose in the forums for a few minutes here and there. I thought this worthy of a post though I bought one of those big bottles of oil from halfrauds, the one with the butterfly top and the plastic nozzle that extends out and had only used about a quarter of it before it got relegated back to the boot until i next had need of it. I had no need to go in the boot for about a month until today............ Nearly the whole bottle had emptied itself over the carpet and started filling the wheel well I forgot to take pics until i had started the clean up operation This is the carpet after i used nearly a bottle of white spirit to break down the oil, and then used detergent to wash the oil and white spirit out and then hose piped it as you can see it to get everything out. Whether or not this worked im not too sure yet. You can kind of see where the oil line is I didnt want to waste the oil in the boot and also couldnt think of another way of getting it out, so i used sawdust from our wood shed which i can also burn in the wood burner I have emptied the sawdust and need to clean the remnants of the oil and few bits of sawdust out. The carpet is drying in the shed and i hope it is sorted but it might need professional cleaning. Im glad this happened when it did tho, as ive just had an aftermarket head unit fitted and have a vibe 12" sub box coming on monday hopefully! I would of hated getting that all oily! Well i hope you have all had a really good holiday and havent had too many Celica based problems!
  12. Happy Birthday ReloadedSR!
