  1. Happy 3 Anniversary Alex991!

  2. But would you pay 8k? Can pick one up for around 4k, and with the spare 4k you could get a top paint job if it really needed it, with plenty of change, and even if it was on high miles the engines are pretty much bulletproof so no worries there.
  3. I still prefer the thunder grey over any colour, so subtle but so sleek with the lines at the glitter in the sun...
  4. Looks good to me. Different tastes or it would be a boring world. A lot of work goes into getting a car sitting that pretty, one of best looking gen 7 imo. Oh and that is not a lot of camber.
  5. Generally those cars are terrible. Don't care what Jaguar says, those x types are just glorified mondeos except they still feel like cheap tat, drive them all the time unfortunately have to fix them too. Normally have to replace all the auxcillary idlers and tensioner on the diesels which is a pig of a job on those, more room on the mondeo..
  6. I normally give mine a good hose down in and behind the rear arches when I wash the car so hopefully that gets the crap out.. Key is catching it early and then preventing it. I mot'd a jaguar x type which had skirts fitted, luckily there is about a 1-2inch gap between the sill and the skirt and I found a hole. Failed the car, got go ahead on repair explaining it could be worse once side skirt was removed, removed it and underneath was rotten. Need the whole sill re-building.
  7. I get looks all the time, especially when my dished wheels are on in the summer. I have a decat exhaust as well which on the overrun if you tap the throttle can bang out the back something nasty, scares me sometimes when I get a real gooden, but I am childish..
  8. If you are still unsure and have no idea what to do, take it to a mechanic or someone that does, don't mean to be rude but brakes are not something you should mess with if you are not sure. If the springs clips holding the shoes have become weak or snapped, they can cause the shoes to catch the disc etc, mine did so I replaced the fitting kit.
  9. Agreed. I had a 2001 astra before my celica and the only feature I really miss was the auto windows still went up after taking the key out and I didn't have to wait lol. Volkswagen are the worst for fixing the useless crap. I work in a garage and I call BS on volkswagen (German quality). 90% of what I fix is VW/Audi/BMW. Does my head in as well because most of their design is utter rubbish.
  10. Happy 2 Anniversary Alex991!

  11. Got my japfest ticket too. Will be hidden in the Yaris club again with my mate from work in his Soarer
  12. ^ That be the problem then, wtf are you feeding them ? We had a bird at work once who would perch in the same tree and leave massive purple ones with large seeds everywhere. I don't envy him.. (Obviously my car went no where near that tree!) Also mine is covered in sand as well.. Not happy lol
  13. Thanks for advise guys Can't wait to get it on. Been looking for one for ages and last I saw went for around £200
  14. Best way to use mate? Can be done by hand and what with?
  15. Manged to get this for a total of £60, very happy! Anyone got any recommendations for cleaning up the tips and the middle box back to shiny shiny? I have high temp black paint for the other bits
  16. Taking the bulb out for ABS will not pass. The ABS light has to illuminate if the vehicle has ABS present, which the MOT tester should be able to see via senors/pick ups or even a pump.
  17. Mine was the same when coming out, real tight and felt like it was going to strip the threads. So i worked it back and forth and eased it out. Once out I just copper greased the bolt and wound it in, went in perfect. As above, it just accumulates crap.
  18. Only problem with it is those TT's are everywhere
  19. I love how low down the seats are in celicas relative to the foot well. More like a cock pit ^Agree with the above
  20. Assuming you are all on about the Audi TT for want of look stupid lol, they are horrendous IMO. Driven loads at work and German quality my ass. Not driven the newer shape, the sleeker one. If that is the one you were all on about I apologize
  21. This is where battery guns come in handy, they crack things off, can be a pain otherwise. I always use my small 3/8 gun for clutch plate bolts, however they are smaller and easier to crack off As said if using hand tools I would imagine another person with a bar fighting against you would be best
  22. @Freaky - That is exactly how I did it and as said had no problems and because of the explanation you just gave I understand why now, makes sense Maybe people need to be advised to make sure the threadlock does not set before fitment @Duck - I have no recess in the back of my wheels so had to shave all 5 studs off both sides for the wheels to fit as my spacers are only 17mm. You can normally easily tell if the wheel is not flush while fitting as it will not simply bolt on like it would if fitting correctly. At least you got it sorted
  23. Surely you would have felt that? If the rear wheel was oscillating noticeably by eye then you would feel a horrendous vibration
  24. This is the method I used which was advised by Freaky and I have had no problems, used blue loctite too
  25. Brand new Denso pollen filter as my old one was in this state;
