  1. Happy 4 Anniversary Heepsy92!

  2. Your right but if you get pulled by Vosa instead of the police you'd be grilled a lot more. I personally wouldn't risk it and I wouldn't recommend it. Stopping for breaks on a long journey are needed but if you miss the mot time that is booked in for then it's illegal. Even getting caught in traffic for longer than expected could mean your driving illegally.
  3. If it's failed an MOT and previous one has lapsed as well then you can't drive it unless you are driving to a MOT station that the car is booked into. Driving it home instead of a MOT station would be illegal.
  4. Thanks lol forgot about the mot check website
  5. Skirts are genuine gt skirts which made them easy to get off since it was just all clips and 2 bolts. I'll post up pictures later as the girlfriend had dragged me clothes shopping
  6. Finally a bit of good news. Got the skirts off today and had a look at the sills. My first impression was holey shit thats bad. Took it around to a garage my dad uses and got quoted 300+vat to fix the sills then they'll mot it afterwards. They don't think it's as bad as it was made out to be. So slightly glad it's not a huge repair bill.
  7. aye i know i wont be getting rid of it till october time i think.
  8. Cheers. Tbh I've been thinking about getting a new car at the end of the year and think this has finally sealed the deal for me.
  9. Not sure where it is. Hopefully when I get the side skirts off tomorrow I'll see where it is. I took the rear seats out last week and everything was dry so damp problem I don't think so but never know. I'm going to be investigating tomorrow so lots of pictures and questions and advice needed most likely.
  10. ah sorry. Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded nearside outer (sill) [5.2.6] Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded offside outer (sill) [5.2.6]
  11. could actually cry. Guy said i need to get the side skirts off to actually see how bad it is as the skirts are blocking his view but said it felt really bad.
  12. Haltech in Bonnybridge, the guys are brand new highly recommend them Ever since I've owned it I change the oil every 5k miles and keep on top of maintenance the best I can. Im really happy with the result I was expecting a lot lower
  13. So i went for a dyno run today. Pretty happy with the results considering its 13 years old and at 104k miles. Got told i was running a wee bit lean, cleaned the maf and noticed no change, so he thinks the maf might be slowly dying.
  14. didnt come in the post but i went and bought these from halfords.
  15. Happy 3 Anniversary Heepsy92!

  16. Job for the weekend then taking all the boot plastic's out, might get some soundproofing while im at it
  17. perfect, yea i have dropped the speed quite a bit after the surprise slide, now i just need to wait on spring arriving!!
  18. well my first thought was "maybe its because of them being summer tyres" but just wanted other peoples opinions on whether it could be something minor or something that could be potentially dangerous for myself and other drivers
  19. Right ok well thanks guys just really scared me when I was sliding and didnt know the cause especially when I havent changed the way I drive or how I take the my daily roads
  20. The car slightly pulls to the left so when I went to get it sorted he said the tracking rods were seized and needed snapped off and replaced. When I'm going slightly left on a sweeping corner The car starts sliding towards the centre of the road so not sure if it's front or back as ive never had this before, It sets of the stability control as it beeps
  21. So over the past week I've noticed that the steering of the car has become very light, my usual corner that I can take at 50+ mph now feels very dangerous taking it at 30mph as the car is sliding. Tyres are: Rainsport 3 on the front, 30psi, plenty of tread left only a year old tyre Goodyear Eagle F1 on the back, 30psi, plenty of tread left again only a year old I had a slight pull to the left so when I went to get the tracking sorted was told the tracking rods had seized and need new ones, quoted £135 for new tracking rods, tracking plus labour Also have MeisterR Zeta-R Coilovers if that helps any ideas on what could be causing the problem, its only started recently?
  22. well if your in the city there is a lot of traffic so more stop starts, changing gears etc so yea mileage will go down in cities but i cant say if this is a lot or to little miles as it comes down to your driving style. i can get 400-420 miles on the motorway and about 300ish miles when driving back and forth work which is grangemouth to falkirk
  23. My lip from Ray, cant wait to get it fitted
