  1. Happy 5 Anniversary Gimba!

  2. Hello I'm after these slot clamp things that go on our front splitters, But i just can not search them properly because I don't know the names of them, anyone got an idea or that actual answer, I need spares
  3. correct, direct from lotus, just rub the lotus logo off if it bothers ya
  4. i hate it, the worst looking bumper ive ever seen, and makes me look at the celica like its the ugliest car ive ever seen but if you like it do whatever, its yours
  5. Oh bloody hell if Kwik fit can sort it out then I should have no worries with a normal garage
  6. Hello Im in need of a TTE exhaust rubber mount like this For this top bracket part Is there a specific part number I can search to get this exact one Or will most garages have loads of their own rubber mounts? Cheeers
  7. My exhaust tip fell off, so i needed a new exhaust sourced a TTE exhaust to go with my TTE lip bought it for £140 Got holiday thursday so i'll have to wait two weeks to fit it Needs a new rubber mount, but other than that (and a better clean) its all lovely I quickly photoshopped howd it look, and i like it alot, ill buy a two hook for the original exhaust gap
  8. Can someone explain the exhausts parts, what is it I need to replace? Can I replace just the exhaust tip, or the parts just before the tip with the box, or would I need the entire part below replaced? Cheers
  9. Would you know what it is that needs replacing? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/toyota-celica-exhaust-190-/111925737994?hash=item1a0f4b3a0a:g:2HsAAOSwr7ZW2Ycp Would it be this sort of thing? Ive always wanted a custom exhaust, but again i know nothing about exhausts, so i woudn't know where to even begin, guess id rather go already made to fit kinda route
  10. So for about a week or so my car sounded "meaner", not by alot but we all know what our cars sound like so when it's slightly different you notice, i decided to clean the car today, washed the back and see something wasn't quite normal can safely say, i wasn't expecting that, god knows where that is So what do I need to fix this. i know nothing about exhaust, i wouldn't wanna replace the whole exhaust system, just the minimum needed but i dunno what i'm looking for, any help would be great
  11. November 2011 Its flown by, can't believe I'm heading towards 5 years, feels like 2 years at most
  12. Well I can't thank you enough for this suggestion, was doing my absolute head in, decided to grease the back of the pads real good as I have no shims yet, and sure enough it has stopped, thanks everyone else for giving suggestions, such a relief it's all over
  13. I did put the aftermarket back on and yep, it returned But a quick update, after tightening the clog up a few notches the constant wheel noise has stopped whilst driving, it only does a clonk noise when in motion and you press the brake, as soon as the brake is pressed it'll clonk once, soon as you let go, it'll clonk again, but will only clonk when you let go of the brake if the car is in motion, or simpler .. it only clonks once per brake press, once per brake release only when in motion, no noise when car is stable I still feel the brake discs holes are too big and knocking against the wheel screws, but for some reason, no matter how tight the wheels are, it will simply just not lock the disc into position to stop forceful movement Im going to try and use different wheel nuts next and see what that does
  14. Hmmm I don't have shims on the back, could be interesting, thanks for the suggestion I'll give it a try
  15. So i bought new discs, noise stayed Changed pad, noise stayed Swapped wheel front to back, noise stayed Swapped bolts front to back, noise stayed Swapped wheel for spare OEM in boot, noise stopped, any ideas?
  16. Surely if normal parking sensors beep then you should stop anyway?, so if he did think that, why didnt he stop?
  17. I did mine without any spares, just thought sod it, so get prepped and made sure I knew what I was doing, with time, drying, layers etc All using Hycote from eurocarparts, masking it all off was the longest thing There are still got bits to finish off, but that can all wait, most of the main parts that your eyes look at are fine started off with a few bits at a time
  18. Happy 4 Anniversary Gimba!

  19. Never bothered me, infact when i first got my celica i Was so glad it did have a beep, with Reverse and 1st gear next to each other Like other has said, I only use reverse a few times a week for seconds at a time, so it's nothing worth faffing about with
  20. Man I wish I knew what you was on about, i've never touched the shoes and springs, looks quite complicated, I'll see if anyone has guides online , cheers monkey, I'll keep in mind and have a look http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=296084 Found this guide, but looks like something I'd mess up, think ill get it done somewhere if shoes need changing Was saved on private, should be good now
  21. This is the noise when breaking, every clunk you hear is when the brake is applied And this is the noise when driving (the clicking noise)
  22. ill leave it for the weekend i think, i just did the cog up real tight, then loosened it by a few clicks ( guess you could call it that), the noise has stopped for now whilst in motion, but still persist when you touch the break ill see if i can record the noise on the way to work tomorrow
