  1. ill be using the federals on my track wheels, wouldnt really use them as a full time on the road tyre as there more of a track tyre, so will wear down quicker, i use yokohama parada spec 2, rate them very well, been using them for the past 5/6 yrs now, cant fault them in wet as many do, there just a good all round tyre
  2. i heard coilies were super stiff, but when i put mine on the hardest setting it wasnt as bad as everyone says, cant see what all the fuss is about
  3. i must of opend the box upside down then or you did, ha, yes i was going to do it on 16clicks which is the middle of the stiffness but i tried it on the hardest yesturday and its not as stiff as i thought it would be
  4. let me know how you get on with them when your driving it, ive not even drove mine half a mile with them yet just a quick go up and down the road, oh yea, you get a full sheet of stickers hiding in the box too take the inner box out and there under that found mine yesturday along with the invoice 1 more thing the heigh of my car is the hight they are straight out of the box btw
  5. unfortunalty i never took a pic of me sat in the car and the light on the road, but it was shocking, was like driving with your sidelights on
  6. Get more osrams, will put some pics up of them in my 306 when im on my comp
  7. Dont waste your money i got a set for mine and got my money back, the look bright in the headlight but when it comes to sitting in the car looking out, your cant see buggar all, keep with the osrams
  8. i just get the cheapies off ebay and never had a prob, had them in for a yr and still going strong, get the smd ones there better
  9. i dont think its right anyway with the bikes and lambos which are alot louder, they shouldnt do it unless all forms of transport are at the same dB level,
  10. well went to castle combe on saturday, did the sound test in my girlfriends standard pug 306 1.8 with standard exhaust and it came back at 84dB at 4.5k revs
  11. not after ride comfort tbh as its going on coilovers and there not ride friendly thing is, if i could get the paradas in 215/45 i would, but cant
  12. need new tyres for my celica im wanting to get some yoko parada spec 2s as ive had them for 5yrs on my other car and i like them, only prob is, the tyres on the wheels at the mo are 215/45/17 the the only size i can get the paradas in are 205/40 and 215/40, i can get the 205s for £269 posted for a set of 4 but for the 215s there about £360 posted, will i notice a huge difference going from 215/45 to 205/40s? hope someone can help as i want to order them tonight cheers
  13. ooooh will see where i get with it and let you know if not i might be asking you if you have one you would like to part with :p
  14. i would be collecting it anyway, his lockup aint too far from mine but if i cant get hold of him, itll have to wait longer till i find someone willing to sell one, when i have money for it
  15. oh i know, will basically only be used at the weekends anyway so fuel isnt a prob as i have a work van, and i wont be going out in the car after work anyway as il be fooked
  16. yea, will be getting one off nix so that shouldnt be a prob, wont be a full on track car, will still be my familymobile too
  17. was going to go all out on guages ;p and ive read somewhere i will need a gt4 fuel pump if the standard ecu will work then thats better and cheaper and itll be going on the track so will have its tits ragged and tthetime limit is true, last conversion lasted 3months, and all that was plug and play haha, but was on a drive with no light or cover, and i planned to have it done in a week
  18. yea the plan was to get the rev 3 as i heard it was easier, i dont mind doing abit of work, as i did an engine conversion on my last car but it would have to be done in 2/3 days so will have to get everything ready and make sure everything is right before i go ahead with it as it will be my daily driver when i do it, im only asking if its any different as i have just been offered one for £350 with loom and turbo so thought for that price, could see to make it work, it wouldnt be going in till next yr or yr after anyway till i get all the parts, i have a cat back at the mo on the gt and induction kit so could try and make them fit, was going for a front mount cooler and an omex ecu or something like that, the engine is out of a 92/93 MR2 how much would it cost to get it to about 300bhp? as i know it wouldnt take that much to get the st205 to that will be doing my homework before anything happens anyway aparently everything is spot on with it and the turbo is good im in no rush as it will take me abit of time to get the parts together then i can write a list on how to do it all
  19. hi all, not sure if this is in the right part, but mods move if it needs to basically i have been offered a rev 2 3sgte engine out of an mr2 for £350 it has the loom and turbo with it, just wondering how much different it is to the rev 3 3sgte, what is the bhp on both? next question is, how easy would it be to fit into my 96gt ive been looking and found the rev3 has minimal stuff to do with the wiring if any to get running in my car, so my question is, will it fit, if it needs any wiring doing what would they be, and how easy would it to get it to 300bhp or there abouts hope you can help, then i can tell my mate wether to keep if for me or not cheers Iain
  20. mines about 100dB so im guna be buggard when its back on the road
