  1. Hi, have googled this, but seems to be conflicting info. Can anyone let me know if I should need to use ptft tape on ; AN fittings NPT fittings It seems no to AN and maybe to NPT? It is for oil fittings from and to my CT26. Or should these self seal anyway and I don't need to worry? I actually have an oil leak and am replacing the oil lines, but think that's from a poor bit of construction on my part. Thanks for any info
  2. Yeah, mine has no alarm at all, hence the question. Since posting have been broken into!
  3. Thanks btw! sorry, didn't before. Look ok, keys was a bit stiff but working ok now. Appreciate the offer though
  4. cheers guys! just bought a disclock, shouldn't have to and not brilliant I am sure, but just something else to slow someone down
  5. Thanks guys again, helps to have a moan and get some support And total crap about cars and businesses, I don't think judges etc realise how much this stuff chips away at people's happiness. Yeah, something obvious and yellow that says this will be a hassle, especially with the ease it seems of opening it up would be good. Just more cost...
  6. I was gutted when I saw it, just the thought of them rummaging around in it, got my heart going! dirty bastards....
  7. ok, pretty easy then ! In a way that's helped, as they didn't smash anything, so as they didn't really take too much, not too bad...
  8. drivers side seems harder to turn, but still does, def feels not smooth anymore though, have to push in and twist a bit more. Guess that's where they did. and you know what, probably right! Battery is out now as well, going nowhere!
  9. cheers, yeah what they have nicked is my tools I left in the back I have just realised when I went to grab them to remove the battery! Only a socket and ratchet set but still annoying!
  10. Yeah, can grab the battery, so will nip out and do so. Looks like can borrow a recharger thanks to cleario Do think they may have been thinking joy ride....
  11. cheers guys yeah, looking for a lock up/garage etc to rent now to put it in I think, wanted to but this has made me want to be a bit more active. Don't like leaving it at the moment! TBH, between the exhaust, and having to work out the emanage loom I have left, hopefully will be alerted. The exhaust alone if I leave the window open should alert me!
  12. came back from work to find my car has been broken into nothing has been taken by the look of it, wasn't anything obvious in there, they missed by emanage (which I am removing). Doors were left open, not shut (left pushed to) so no battery left. Opened everything up, checked the boot etc. Removed fuse cover for some reason....guess they were thinking of taking it ? Can't imagine why except to joy ride. Happy they didn't smash a window to get in to take a look, worried that the doors were so easily opened without a key!!!! Is it that easy to get into Gen 6s ? Police will give me a call in 24 to 48 hours....and asked me to leave things as they are. However am removing the emanage. That will also stop it working till they work out to plug in ecu. Batteries dead now anyway. Pretty damn annoyed! Once police do come, then will need to recharge my battery to get it to work.
  13. got an ebay tracker coming which will let me cut fuel via text message, and track it of course. Only cheap but will give it a go (need a simcard so using giffgaff one). Can obviosuly be found and removed though. Making sure I have NOTHING in the car, bit worried about the emanage as you can just see the loom going under the front carpet so will need to hide that better. Rear side are tinted but the back isn't, nor are the fronts. Really, have a choice at the moment, big brakes, projectors or alarm!
  14. interesting, as two more cars got done in my road last night, both nicer motors, one obviously had a device plugged into as the cable was left. looks like street is being targeted, bastards.....
  15. thanks for all your responses guys, given me some options to investigate
  16. cheers guys, liking the remote start may get a steering lock for the minute now and look at different alarm options. Advice on leaving nothing on show is wise, and one I need to remember more often....was looking at a tracker that I could install into my fuel pump as well, they can find and disable it but if it slows people down...
  17. Live in a nice but busy area with only onstreet parking....left the flat this morning and a car was outside with a smashed window. Presumably had something nice in the back, mine just has used brakes and exhaust parts so less of a target
  18. Hi. What would people recommend for after market security for imports without alarms ? Just bite the bullet and get an after market alarm and immobiliser fitted, or just a wheellock ?
  19. isn't it more pressure means higher boiling point ? So the coolant can get to a hotter temp/absorb more heat from engine ? So if running hotter its good but only if components can take it...?....well prob wrong but have a gt4 rad still to put in with the same cap as you have.
  20. guessing it depends on the wheels you have...I think my offset on mine is 40, and 20mm would have been better, 25mm seems to stick out a touch to much...will need to fit again and measure though
  21. 25mm, bought 4 off a guy in the wanted section. 25mm is too wide for the front though by the look of the rear thanks for all the advice above btw
  22. drunk at 2.30 in the afternoon ? cheers buddy
  23. wish I asked before starting...that's guys freakyparts, will pm you on replacement stud, has broken off below so some drilling out fun....
