Thank you for the replies. The main issue is that there is no power when pulling away and it struggles on hills. I have done all the easy stuff myself, such as full service, new plugs, cleaned the MAF and replaced a binding caliper, but still having issues. It's just a process of elimination at the moment. I am getting a rattle when pulling away so not sure whether the exhaust has a slight blow near the front. Although if this was the case i can't imagine much power would be lost. Lift seems to be working fine, it's just the power at low revs. Stop start traffic is a nightmare!

Anyone know where the nearest Celica specialist is to Newcastle upon Tyne? I have been having issue with power from my T Sport for a while now and it would be nice to have a specialist look at it to see if they can work out what is going on. Cheers John

Yeah, after what happened to me i will always make sure i have a spare.

Im going to the garage tonight to see if the alloy is alright to get a tyre on or if it is totally goosed. If it's alright i'll be getting a new tyre fitted tomorrow and getting the car checked out to see if there is any other damage. Fingers crossed it will be ok

It was a fairly new Pirelli P Zero, still had decent tread on it. That sounds so scary mate, i would of been bricking it!

It was my back nearside tyre that blew. Dunno what would happen if the front blew, i can imagine it being bad though! Haha, the police said i should put the lottery on. I was going to but never got round to it.

All the tyres have plenty of tread on them. I definetely hit something becasue i heard it hit my wheel arch. Think i might still get it on the ramps and check that there is no damage under the car and that the suspension etc is ok.

Thats mad like! Bet you were shaking. Such a horrible feeling, i handled it as well i could but it felt like there was nothing i could do.

Spun my car off the A19 today. Probably the scariest thing that has happened to me. I heard something hit my wheel arch when i was doing about 75ish on the outside lane. My car felt strange and started to make a noise which sounded like a puncture so i went turn into the inside lane and my car totally spun out. I ended up in the central reservation with the smell of burning rubber. When the police and recovery came they said it was a miracle where i had stopped and that i had not hit another car or anything. If i was 100 meters further down the road i would have hit the barriers and probably wrote off my car/been seriously injured. Amazingly me and the passenger were unhurt and the only damage was a shredded tyre and a scratch on my wheel arch. The recovery swapped the wheel with my spare and the car drove away fine. Someone up there likes me!
