  1. Sorry to hear this mate ! I did wonder what happened to you as I thought you were attending
  2. Its strange the passenger one was like that as it had just gone through an mot and they were strict as the they noted advisories on dents in wheel rims and even made me change all reg plates to pass as well as brakes I had to have done too so cant see how the would have missed trailing arms , sorry to hear about it though ! But glad to hear shes being sorted and continuing to get better especialy after all that I had done on it .
  3. Hey dave sorry to hear you your having issues with the trailing arm bolts as far as I csn remember when I had the car adex was sorting s few issues on the rear trailing arms on the driver side as if you remember I said one of the bushes on the inside arm (the one with the very long bolt that goes through subframe and arms ) it took him ages to get that undone initially a little at a time and he replaced the whole hub and arm at one point as some bolts were seized solid but if its passenger side I cant remember having any issues to need to remove that side arms
  4. Ive just got a thatcham cat 2 immobiliser on mine ! I had it installed and got a certificate for insurance purposes ill in it was about £150 at the time

Maybe carla at the moment there are other issues too but at the moment ive done all I can ive spent the last 3days doing nothing but working on the car and its better now at least it fires up straight away which is more than it did yesterday but there is still a way to go and tomorrow will be the first time in 4 1/2 years it won't have done my wales trip

  16. Nice wheels for the celica I think really look good
  17. Thats not too bad for a decent gen 4 these days , most are salvagable with time and money And as ams states if used frequently they wont be a problem
  18. the 6 is thirstier than the gen 4 ! On a run i can do 400 miles to a tank
  19. Especially as practical classics have just done a buyers guide on them as a classic daily driver , my agreed value is £2000 but that could be going up at some point
  20. The gen4s can be very reliable i myself have done just over 30,000 miles in just over 3 years in mine which includes a trip to south wales every month from surrey if you look after them they look after you ! i have however also got a 202 import too at the moment !
  21. I got ones off ebay as needed them and mine have done the same
  22. Ive done mine a few times over the last 3 years and takes hours to do and now need doing again as the fronts are a real pain to clean so time for a colour change me thinks . This time i need to get them done professionally this time as the inner rims are found to be corroded after having 2 new rear tyres yesterday so not looking forward to that but hopefully done soon orbefore the main shows this year
  23. Some of Us old gen 4 owners have had this problem i even had a brand new starter fitted and after 4 days had the same problem i had a relay mod put in by my mechanic down the road from me who does work on my cars and its been ok forwell over a year now and been fine fingers crossed , for us its due to i wire from tje ignition to the starter not holding the current as the wires degrade with age so a relay is put in to assist this generally , the mod on mine however is s little differen as the mod is connected to the starter and the battery but as said its worked out ok steve gillies from adl racing can supply these kits as a direct wire on mod for the 3sge or 3sgte engines Hope this helps
