It depends on the tester it's partly down to their discretion. I took my old ss11 in twice and they failed it ended up putting a bung in to pass. Took it somewhere else the next time and they passed it no problem without the bung

yeah i do like the rc bumper. ive been looking at a front mounted intercooler so the bumper will have to come off.

yeah mate clocks do finish at 110. thats first on the shopping list i think. yeah 17s i think couple after a little clean.

will get pictures up in the morning mate im just going to start looking for wheels and exhaust at the moment both are standard. want to get the clocks sorted out to it only has 110mph on it guy reckons its a bigger turbo thats on it so will see if i can find anything on it to look up and check. it drove back perfect today was quieter than my ss111 inside

no mate elec windows and elec adjustable seats its got the 10 speaker sound system in it as well. i just had a quick look on wiki says 1991 gt4 a wide bodied with the live sound think the A is somthing to do with that.

turns out it was the same one that was on gumtree a few weeks ago with no mot for £500 in glasgow. guy from carluke bought it motd it and gave me it in a gift i got it for £250 and my ss111 couldnt believe it.

just picked up a h reg st185. full years mot and totally standard jap import. still reads in km and its had a cheap conversion for the clocks. but apart from that it starts and drives perfect. its a gt4A. is the A just because its a wide body version? if anyone knows. pictures up tomorrow when i get a chance to get some done.

i get around 40ish with the ss111 doing around 80 miles a day round trip to work. and i dont sit at 50

3-3.5 would be nice mate. :rolleyes: realistically only looking to spend around 2.5k if possible. ive seen a few but every one is miles away from here. looks like mark3s 185 in essex is going to be it. will need to source another interior tho as the back has been stripped as it was going to have a half cage fitted. 3-400 mile drive back with the car should be fun tho

yeah the paint is shocking. prices might be reasonable for a decent 185 but finding one up here is impossible thats why im thinking of travelling down to essex for one

only prob with these sites they dont have many older celicas. im really looking to see if i could import a st185. its going to be easier and quicker to just get one from the uk. mark3 has one im interested in so looks like that will be the best option.

no worries mate. it was just a thought i had earlier about importing a gt4. i shouldnt have days off i get some strange ideas when i have to much free time.

the £800 was just to get a car from japan to the uk. that doesnt include the price of the car ect. only shipping

yeah did wonder about that. might be easier just getting the 185 ive been looking at. ss111 badges are on the way tho. just have to find somewhere to stick them on the car she will be up for sale in a couple of weeks anyway cant keep the ss111 and a gt4 as well.her indoors would have a fit yeah just going to get one from the uk. had a quick look at beks 205 as its a really good price but ive really decided on a 185.

has anyone imported a celica and if they have how much hastle was it? and was the final price better than it would have been if bought in the uk. had a quick look earlier and getting a car from japan to bristol is around £800

think he managed to get in. he struggled to get out
