  2. Happy Anniversary Aftershock!

  3. I've no idea to be honest but i have no intention of doing any power related mods, just some interior upgrades and adding my own style to it
  4. The unreliability of Alfas kind of put me off them, seems to be pot luck if you get a good or bad one. All the Volvos around me were out of my price range, to be honest there wasnt much choice in Diesel Estates around £4k in good condition which surprised me. Yes i will probably be joining the Vectra C owners Club aswell as keeping up my membership here, probably wont make to many changes to the Vectra but who knows, i have the feeling that once the modding bug has bitten it stays with you for life lol
  5. Well i've been looking for a few weeks but since the celica went last night was in need of a car. I've just put a deposit down on a 2007 Vectra 1.9 CDTi the 150 bhp version. I know there are common faults such as water pump seizing etc but this one has full service history and in immaculate condition, was owned by Vauxhall for the first 3 years then a retired couple who took very good care of it as far as i can see. To be honest it was the only one i've seen in the last few weeks that fitted what i was after, not as many cars for sale up here and didn't want to travel down south. I'll be staying in the club and plan another celica in the future
  6. What engine is that because it depends which one you get
  7. Some form of diesel estate, Vectra, Sabb 93, Passat, A4 not exactly sure yet. Hopefully i will come back to celicas in the future though, maybe something a little older
  8. Just watched my celica drive away with its new owner was a very hard thing to do but had to sell it. Off shopping for a new car tomorrow i guess
  9. Happy Anniversary Aftershock!

  10. I think there not fitted as standard as alot of the engine is an alloy, therefore no need, cant see any downside to having one though
  11. Bailey caravans are known for being pretty lightweight so check them out aswell
  12. I duno what they were quoting me for then but still even at £129 thats quite an expensive oil change
  13. I think Toyota wanted £400 is for a minor service last time i phoned. Most things can be done easly enough yourself, even take it into DIY Car Services if you need to use the Ramps and tools ect, Shaun will probably help you out in there aswell if you need it. The for anything a bit more complicated like the Aux belt changing i'd go to razers brother in laws garage in Bathgate, Jim knows his way around a celica and will give you a good price im sure
  14. That would be great ams, i'll pm you
  15. Are cheaper ones just as good as more expensive ones such as RAC?
  16. Anyone know where is best to get a HPI check done? Never done one before so not really any idea about them. Or anyone on here able to do one for me?
  17. Thats a very kind thing to do, if only i had somewhere to keep it. Im surprised Briano hasnt been on this yet
  18. I've left mine in for 4 or 5 days without any battery problems but as chris cw says not the best idea
  19. Torque pro gives a list of what it can read and shows up what info is coming from the car aswell and i couldnt find Oil Pressure so i assume it doesnt have any info. That would have saved me adding my gauges as well.
  20. Yeh i do, as long as its nothing to worry about then i can live with it Thanks
  21. No dont have to unplug anything, there is an ODB11 port down where the bonnet release is under the steering wheel in the Gen 7, just plugs straight in there.
  22. Since i've been asked first of all which reader i have its this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321051776913?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 Can get the same ones from China aswell but i didnt want to wait 3 weeks on it coming. Now for a little discussion on them. FIrstly it seems to work fine with Torque and reads fault codes ect, but it also causes the ABS light to flash while the car isnt moving, as soon as i drive off the light goes off and as soon as i stop it starts to flash again, it only does it with the OBD11 reader plugged in. Anyone any ideas why? Anyway im using Torque pro and its much much better than the free version, i do wonder how accurate the MPG is though, i've not done enough miles to work mine out again but it does read a little higher than i would have expected. And finally, what other cool features do people use on torque, or any other similar app?
  23. Roads are a discrase here in Edinburgh aswell, and i know they cant really fix much in the freezing weather but there are pot holes that have been there since last winter with nothing done about them, its a nightmare just driving to work. Good luck with the claim, just find any suitable pot hole, as said thats been marked for repair already and say it was that one. The fact if a car is lowered should have no effect to the wheel going into a pot hole and being damaged though.
  24. Never had much of a problem with my 7, live on a steep hill so sometimes getting up it is an issue but had none this year with winter tyres fitted
