  1. Do i really need to add my not inconsiderable weight to this argument?
  2. My usually trusty newsman forgot to order it,the utter git.Should be in my mitts tomorrow though
  3. We've had a shed load of tests with 'ultra' fuels, the old Ford boys have done it loads of times as well and they only people that seem to get any advantage performance wise are Forced Induction cars, the Cossie YB powered cars saw an improvement, and as previously said especially the GT4s,JDM models in particular that have been run from new for x years on 102 RON over in Japan.Generally speaking you wont get anything from the 99 RON stuff in your n/a Celicas, other than the fact its a good fuel and the additives that are present in the stuff wont do your engine any harm at all
  4. Not this Celica club anyway. And any other....?Well,it's like baked beans. If they aint Heinz ......
  5. Dammit,only went back to 1991! Still,good site
  6. Call me old fashioned, but to me you can call it stretched or any other name but it just looks like the wrong sized tyre on a bigger wheel. ...cool or not I wouldn't feel confident hard cornering with that. Just my opinion!(especially with a Nankang Ditchfinder stretched over it lol)
  7. Its purely dependant on whether you like the look of a gen6.The actual performance and grin side of a good faff is a no brainer TBH!But if you're not totally sold on the look of a faff then that may sway your decision.Everyone should own a faff at some point in their life I reckon
  8. Ill bet my right bollock you'll want a faff after you've driven a good one......you have been warned
  9. Tell him to take a shit and fall backwards.
  10. To use the official vernacular, that is utter bollocks. You cannot be failed on an item that is not fitted on the vehicle. If the car SHOULD have an item fitted and it doesn't,then the MOT tester may have a point but is being an utter prick if the above is accurate, and is also completely wrong. Find another MOT tester that isn't a c***t.
  11. Blimey that's a lot of dough!Think id rather spend money in that range with Se7en motorsports on stage 2 cams or something etc.. Do that instead!
  12. Best way is to throw them onto a fire and stand back....
  13. Dunno what the power to weight differences are but with less than 200 bhp hes not going to obliterate you that's for sure.plus you may be a better driver than him too lol
  14. Johnys car is perverted porn Thought I'd done this already but didn't find a post,so here's me last summer with my Gen4, 'CJN' and a little trophy
  15. If you wanna walk the walk, you gotta torque the torque my friend....he's already pulling tarmac while your -ZZ is still winding itself up unfortunately
  16. highly recommended, ADEX or BEK8111 are Celica mechs too
  17. Gen4's were filled with Toyota ForLife red coolant from the factory .The white '89 model I had for a while had the original ForLife sticker under the bonnet. Before that, then I would assume Brian is right with using the blue stuff for the real old skool cars now
  18. Its all about power delivery,if the drivetrain is all tikkety boo and its mechanically sweet engine wise then the car feels nice and responsive, especially after you've had obvious issues before, like night and day for first few hundred miles
  19. Holy thread revival Batman! due to spending momey on other things i still havent got one of these,on the drive im using my small concrete slab mod to get under the car,but obviously on the roadside itll still be awkward, especially as the car wil be even lower with a flat! That Liftmaster one,im sure i saw a review where they said it was okayish for the money, but be aware it doesnt come filled with hydraulic fluid...sure it was that one
  20. Bit steep , paid 30 quid locally in Kent for front wheel alignment with a Hunter laser
  21. Ha yeah unless they see the back end theyre not sure. The ones that do realise always say "Is that the Turbo 4 wheel drive one then?" and i have to admit,"No,its not"
