  1. I paid her up,she knew the risks. Back on topic, these Smartphone games are seriously harming the economy Puts you off work! Its not a bad game though, for free you cant complain
  2. The car.I let the girl out of the cellar the other day.She was starting to cry,a lot.
  3. Was playing this today while i should have been working .Pretty good crack, got to master the Coast tarmac/gravel circuit now.I want to unlock the Escort eventually
  4. You need to keep the receipts of the service items used, clip them together and file them with the service book....and then a new buyer can check the dates pretty much relate to the date you're putting in the service book.Personally, if you show me a book with handwritten service intervals then ive only got your word youve actually done it.A nice neat folder with all old receipts for work done, even down to small items shows pride of ownership to me,and im much more likely to hand over my money , and to give you nearer the price you want if you sell up.
  5. Think the only real disadvantage is the lack of torque compared to a slightly more 'suited' tow car.But like said,if its not towing huge weight for long distances it should be pretty capable?
  6. Has to be my pop up headlights id say. .....always old skool cool
  7. Cost was also an issue,to keep the prices competitive in the UK/European markets apparently. My UK gen4 was around the 16-17k mark in 1987,so wasnt a cheap car.But it came with power steering, you had the ABS option, 147BHP twin cam engine with separate oil cooler, disc brakes all round, electric mirrors (manual folding though) ,full electric tilt and slide metal sunroof, adjustable speed wipers,Aircon with Eco mode, central armrest with built in cup holders, alloy wheels, loads of stuff. Wayne has a JDM car (convertible) of similar age, but his even has multi function steering wheel with factory fitted cruise control,JDM cars also had the electrically adjustable seats like we mentioned as well. All this stuff was in the late Eighties,I used to own a Ford Sierra which was an '87,it was a 1.8GL and that entitled me to a manually adjustable drivers mirror,a rev counter and a fag lighter. Not even allow wheels let alone PAS or any of the above.True it was a slightly cheaper car back then but was light years behind the Japanese mindset. And that was just for the UK Jap cars, let alone more generously equipped JDM models.I had what Cravo was talking about in my JDM ST 205 which was a 93/94 model, climate control, the lot.Good stuff
  8. so thats where the con is,dont you dare question the law because even if you show they were technically in the wrong,we'll have you anyway. That is disgusting.
  9. Thanks for the info fella . And absolute discharge, as it should be.Mind you that copper will be hanging around outside your house waiting for you to breathe incorrectly so he can nick you lol
  10. Actually, as an interest point now that you have been through the ins and outs. .I have changed my factory exhaust on my car for a custom built system by a well known fabricating company. The bore is the same as OEM, but it only has one silencer. The original had two so I can assume that makes it automatically illegal. It is also a lot louder than standard. So im driving through Norfolk, and I get pulled by the Po. Lets assume they give the reason that it sounds too loud to be legal and the want to test it.Im on a normal street. What is the exact procedure they should do to prove that I should be fined/ hung drawn and quartered, according to what we now know then? Uk car .it has a rev counter.
  11. Well done to you for sticking to your guns, and for at least showing that the copper was a lazy twat and hadn't done his observations or his job properly. Though when all is said and done I dont see how most of these issues with legality can still stand with so many unknown/unreliable factors. Joke.
  12. I really hope you come out on top of this blatant waste of time. The law doesnt even have a concrete set of guidelines in place for God's sake, let alone the Norfolk Police not even coming across like they have a clue what theyre doing. They cant even get the Registration number of the car right for crying out loud.
  13. Fitted the pop ups on my gen4 with Nightbreakers,a world away from the crappy OEM jobs.Couldn't comment on the Philips TBH but yeah id recommend the others for sure
  14. One day ill have a butt that 'll fit in them
  15. This is true.... http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/152313-wayne-selling-red/ Very rare JDM gen4 vert
  16. In Germany, they're the marrying kind. Red cars definitely get shat on more,my Alfa used to get pummelled, the gen4 and our Skoda get mullered no matter where i park them .Im always on the case getting it off as soon as is possible. The stuff is like Hydrochloric acid and fucks the paint
  17. Cheers Brian! I knew someone with class would confirm the issue Ade.....
  18. No back end shots of the 5s eh?Thats because this is proper bit of arse...and anyway, the title of this dilemma is gen4 or 6....how did you 5 owners get in ? Arse!
  19. Well allow me to retort Hang on,wrong one. Oops.Even the best get it wrong. Those 5 pics were awesome, but here is the original rally GT4,and best. Now we can put this to bed,and the man can go and buy that gen4.
  20. Do i really need to add my not inconsiderable weight to this argument?
  21. My usually trusty newsman forgot to order it,the utter git.Should be in my mitts tomorrow though
  22. We've had a shed load of tests with 'ultra' fuels, the old Ford boys have done it loads of times as well and they only people that seem to get any advantage performance wise are Forced Induction cars, the Cossie YB powered cars saw an improvement, and as previously said especially the GT4s,JDM models in particular that have been run from new for x years on 102 RON over in Japan.Generally speaking you wont get anything from the 99 RON stuff in your n/a Celicas, other than the fact its a good fuel and the additives that are present in the stuff wont do your engine any harm at all
