  1. Happy 7 Anniversary Lex_GTS!

  2. Happy 6 Anniversary Lex_GTS!

  3. Woke up to that this morning after cleaning and polishing my car, which I never do. Reminded me why I don't.
  4. Ask to see examples of their work and any guarantees etc and google for reviews
  5. Happy Anniversary Lex_GTS!

  6. Glad someone else knows this... Think it's an awesome idea like the window cleaners at hospitals who dress like superheroes.
  7. Pretty sure the gen 7 coilovers won't fit. You have to bare in mind that they are made for weight of a specific car, height of the specific car and such. Don't think it's work. As for the ST185 I'd suspect the same thing but I can't guarantee it.
  8. Firstly, find yourself a local car spares place. Not halfords, I wouldn't trust a bike they assembled, their knowledge is not amazing and how they can be allowed to offer to fit things is beyond me. Secondly, your question appears to be about the bulb? I have no idea and as its not gen 7 specific I'll move it to general and a wider audience
  9. Exactly what I was thinking, and I'd love to have seen a gt4 with that body
  10. I think by the time the 7 gets traction the gt4 will be in boost in second gear, from there with the spin through the gears on the front wheels I don't think the 7 would catch up. From a roll it'd be interesting but the power/weight would be in the 7's favour so you couldn't have rotrex vs stock. Would be interesting to see. I've seen the GT4's launch, and if you give no damn for the clutch, that thing will tear away.
  11. I'd go for that, when doing the rocker cover I just started the car between coats and let it cook it... Worked surprisingly well, but would be much easier with a heat gun. Just mind any rubber hoses etc
  12. That's not on! My friend got pulled over by armed police because his new car had a firearms marker on it :/ was hilarious at the time but only the first time it happened, he had to go into the station and complain eventually.
  13. Proper paint ie the VHT base colour and lacquer, but if its for brakes you should be fine with just some high heat paint without primer. Think VHT base coat is also an adhesion promoter (or some crack) so skipping straight to the paint won't help. If you're put off by the lack of colours, namely the red that looks Matt orange and the blacks that look grey in high heat, look online as there is a hell of a lot more around there. But use the right stuff, trying to clean the wrong stuff off to paint again would be a nightmare.
  14. "It's loud".... My damaged hearing and inability to whisper could tell you that Now that is harsh! I've only been pulled over once in mine :/ ever...
  15. I painted my rocker cover with VHT base, colour and lacquer, only thing I found was it went on so thick that the bolts caused some cracking when held down. As for using the VHT base and lacquer, why not just shell out for some of the proper paint? They aren't going to act as an insulator by any means. I've known people to use Hammerite on their brakes and it bubbles when hot, when it cools down it goes back to normal. But that should only happen between 150 and 200 Celsius.... As for it only generating that much heat on a track, an emergency stop will heat them up a lot, and if its not the right paint, the constant heating and cooling will do you no favours. I'd do it properly.
  16. Taylorad89 has taken the reigns from Mick on the green beast, he's constantly having more engine work done to her, looking forward to seeing it when it's back on the road.
  17. Exhausts do sound different when they're clean and not coked up, but I don't think you'd have cleaned far enough in to make a difference with that, if anything you could have made an existing hole bigger with the wiggling of the exhaust when cleaning, that might quieter down when it cokes up a bit after use, but worth getting a torch and your phone and getting a video of you moving the phone around all the welds checking for holes. I always use my phone and a video to see into the parts I can't fit my head..... On the car I mean
  18. Cheers dude. Gloss from me think matt may look a little rusty
  19. To be fair without seeing the wheels or knowing the colour the question is pointless.
  20. Woah... Best bet would be anyone travelling down, courier that far would be unlikely to make it
