  4. Not all 3sfe engines are a problem, had mine 6 years and its been rock solid. I like it although there always seem to be a lot of haters of them.
  5. Think I should have been clearer, was referring to my 18" techin inovit wheels not the original 15" Toyota wheels.
  6. Just wondering if the wheels I have on my gen6 would fit on a gen7?
  7. If you can find a good detailer locally you could see if they can wet sand it then polish it, won't be cheap but certainly cheaper than a respray or dip.
  8. Happy 6 Anniversary mjc68!

  9. Happy Anniversary mjc68!

  10. If you slow down using the gearbox (slowdown but stay in gear) you save fuel. All reasonably modern engines use no petrol while you slow down like this. If you have a car with constant fuel consumption display you can see this happen. My vectra (sorry for swearing) shows 999mpg when slowing in gear.
  11. Look at the spritw alpine, either 2 or 4 berth. We have a sprite alpine 4 and it is a very light van. Don't tow with our celica but sure we could.
  12. Happy Anniversary mjc68!

  13. I'm in Boston, Lincolnshire, but work into peterborough every day so am kinda in cambridgshire. Hoping to make paerson drove show if I can make it.
  14. Maguires detailing spray and lots of Microfibre cloths, soon shine again! Thanks!
  15. After reading this thread I decided to get my rotary polisher out and give the car a going over, only tend to user it about once a year. 4 1/2 hours later the car has been wash then polished using G3 compound and the rotary polisher then a coat of autoglym high definition wax. Think you definately get a better shine than by hand. Already for Saturdays party now! If I'd give one tip, keep the polisher head nice and wet, so it doesn't grab or burn the paint and WEAR WATERPROOFS, you may look a bit daft but a wet polisher head spinning at 2-3000 rpm will spray water and compound everywhere!!! I wear an old waterproof jacket and trousers and work boots and by the end I have more on me than the car!!!
  16. Thats looking really good, can't beat a red car for looking good! Got to tackle mine today.
  17. I could stick one in my Deisel Mondeo and see what response I get???? How many HP does this one produce?
  18. Could have been worse, might have hit a Bambi, they do serious damage!!
  19. I bought a car with no socket. Used this and they came off a doddle, but you do need to find someone with an impact gun (air gun). http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_196491_langId_-1_categoryId_255216
