  6. One T-Sport at work and a whole raft of Gen6's littered around the local Supermarkets. One appeared next to us just this evening. Oddly a rare jaunt to the pub revealed an old friend's had a Gen6 ST for 10 years! It's only now that he needs bits he's mentioned it
  7. Ok not that old but you're right about the phone as I've had to dig out my 6230i after the N95 died. I'll catchup in May when the Lumia 900 appears If I get desparate my dearest whips out the iPad and all is well. That is until googlemaps lack of clarity turns us both potty! I ran F1's for years on my Civic after trying out many alternatives. I like the combination of grip in all conditions, predictable breakaway and comfort. Hopefully the Celica will minimise the slightly soft sidewalls and give me the confidence all the 205/55/15's I've tried don't.
  8. Aww ok then .... just as long I don't substitute Hilux undercarriage and 22" rims I'll be fine then
  9. True. But I'm old and obstinate and really don't want a SatNav - it's damn lazy for starters. I recently tried one when hunting for car garages around the country and was forced to make more u-turns that I've done in the last 10 years! Besides I can't help but see it as an admission of defeat!
  10. Running standard 15's. I'm not keen to trust a SatNav if only because I've seen some being 10mph over optimistic at 60mph. Oh and I refuse to buy one Standard Gen6 is 205/55/15 but the tallest F1's on 15's are 195/45/15 or 64.2 @ 70 - useless. My plan was to swap to GT4 wheels but at 7.5" wide it means the 215/40/16 or 66.8 @ 70 - also not ideal. 17's mean 205/55 or 225/45 (with 7.5"+ wheels) both which are likely to get very pricey! True going slower is technically better but also much less efficient in getting me where I want to go. Oh and reducing the overall diameter on a car with huge arches wasn't part of the plan. So either I change the wheel plans and stick to 16x7's (205/50/16 for 70.7 @ 70 - ok) or recalibrate the speedo
  11. ... how is it done and by whom? I want Goodyear F1's and can't get them without altering the rolling radius of the wheels, either by reducing the tyre profile or upping the wheel size. However I'm also keen to get from A-to-B quickly without getting stung by the infestation of average speed cameras currently plaguing our highways. What do you do to avoid this issue?
