  1. Happy Anniversary NJay!

  2. Pm sent. They do everything on those lists. Although I didn't need the air filter lol.
  3. Lol I am not surprised And despite mine being rotrexed it still gets serviced at Toyota but being a club member helps
  4. I just about got 31 driving to and from work 25 mile round trip when mine WASN'T supercharged. With it it dropped to 23 lol. On the journeys to meets (typically 90miles each way) I would get 36 and 28 before and after charging. The auris that I have as my daily driver does at least 37 for the the same daily commute. However I only got 34mpg going to/from japfest as there was no convoy this time
  5. The gen gt was body kitted up and top of the range. If choose a 350z that has nissan bodykit added price is not similar any more. I.e. compare apples with apples. The cabriolet pricing was stupid though
  6. Why do you think they have the pricing wrong. The cost of new cars these days means even remotely sporty cars are the wrong side of £20k The gen7 tsport was £23k 12years ago and that was about average in comparison to its peers However Toyota has always been more expensive than fraud or vauxfail but even these charge silly (lots) money these days for mundane cars
  7. The gt86 is not about going fast. It's about going round corners sideways as its been designed to do this at lower speeds and with easy control. It's more a drift car than sports car
  8. Yep, was only doing 3-4k in 2nd when I went to change gear going up a hill but feck me it scared the hell out of me when the revs shot up and bounced off the limiter several times as it took a second or so to realise what the hell had happened. Shoved it into 6th to lower them lol.
  9. It matters not how big the pads are as the same pressure is applied. However for a given pad size the further out for the centre the force us applied the quicker you brake. Try it. Get someone to spin a frizbee inbetween their fingers and then stop it with your finger tips near the edge and then near the middle. The latter requires much more effort
  10. Well that's one advantage of the pre facelift 190. No Vsc or trc lights so running an Apexi is fine Might be worth getting hold of a pre facelift dial face and putting that in as it won't have any cut outs for those two pesky lights
  11. Happy Anniversary NJay!

  12. As you are planning to go all out on the gen 6 I would go with a 140 as it's a more relaxed car. With the 190 you will feel the need to work the engine to play with that extra 50bhp above 6k.
  13. I do exactly that. The stock 16in 190 alloys have winter tyres fitted. My 18in wheels have summer tyres fitted
  14. I run continental wintercontact tyres. They are good enough to keep traction in snow even with 274bhp through the front wheels
  15. They should all be exactly the same width. The sidewall is a different percentage that's all? And there is an article on wider tyres not necessarily giving more grip. Afterall etc use different widths depending on terrain. Something to do with car is the same weight so you just end up making the contact patch wider albeit shorter than a narrower tyre. People tend to see an improvement as the rubber in wider tyres is softer than stock rubber.
  16. Yeah, I have seen that others have fitted a different spring and really must look into that.
  17. Have you had it sulk on you yet. Mine does if its not been used for a few days as it won't friggin idle and stalls. Have to hold the throttle for a short while so that it will idle on its own which is fun at 6am with an aftermarket exhaust inside a garage so I have to start car, move out garage, brake at bottom of sloped drive so I don't take lip out but not too much so as to get back on gas before car dies lol. It then clears after a couple of days. It never did this with the stock ecu lol.
  18. Replacement speedo dial insert that has those lights blank off You could even use a prefacelift 190 one as we don't have them anyways As to Apexi. It does have its own issues as crap closed loop means its a bitch to get through an mot emissions test. It does go a bit loopy at times as idle can hunt and other times be bang on lol
  19. I can understand the logic. On the gen 7 190 there could be some which haven't been taken over 6.2k and never used the hydraulic oil control valve to engage high lift cam lobe followers lol
  20. Well mine isn't that low at 55k in 11yrs but I can vouch for it certainly seeing the redline enough since I am it's only owner lol
  21. Indeed. However i still think you will fail at the lower rpm test point as each 3dba is a doubling in perceived output. I believe yours was about 12dba more which would be double double double double or 16times louder than pass mark?
  22. As my gen7 was imported from Belgium i have an eec type approval cert somewhere which states the dba level. Must dig it out and see what it says as i am sure its less than 74dba As to super car i would guess they have some sort of electronic bung at just the right rpm point. Also 50km in 2nd is probably quite low rpm for them?
  23. Custom exhaust with tailpipes out the boot. That should put them hgh enough to exempt them then
  24. Unfortunately passing an mot does not mean your car is road legal I would guess there are many laws to do with cars that are not covered by mot.
